Heidi's trip

Today's blog is about my daughter Heidi's trip to Greenwich, Connecticut. She went with her boyfriend Jimmy to see his sister and her husband, and just returned home late last night. They were given all paid fare in first class and had a wonderful trip. Here is part of an email from her today:
It was a great trip, very fun. The most beautiful countryside I have ever seen in my life. They live in what would be called a traditional New England village. Hard to really even describe what it was like. The average size home (I would call them estates, not homes) are around 20,000 square feet. It was like you see in the movies.

We took the train from Greenwich, Connecticut into New York City on Saturday and saw the hit Broadway show, "Wicked". It was absolutely great. We had dinner in the city also at Smith & Wollensky, a famous steak house. In fact, on the plane ride home yesterday we watched "The Devil Wears Prada" with Meryl Streep, and there is a scene where Anne Hathaway runs into Smith and Wollensky to get lunch for her boss, and she walks right by the table we had sat at on Saturday night. We got a kick out of that.

His sister and brother in law were wonderful. They treated us like royalty!
