Update on health and more

Today was the day to get caught up on errands and do Dr. appts.
My chiropractor got married last week, so went to see him and get a treatment and take him a wedding gift. He looked so cute and happy with his new spiky, bleached haircut! Then I went by to see Joe for a short visit, and then on my way to get my blood count on coumadin levels at my heart doctors. My level was higher but still in safe zone for me, so I was ok on the coumadin.
The concern today was my blood pressure. Last Thursday when I was at heart doctors, I learned I was back into atrial fibrillation and my heart meds had to be increased.
Last Thursday my BP was 112/84 and they needed to check it again today. They do not want it dropping too low. Today it had dropped and was 98/60, so I need to watch it carefully as they do not want below 90. If I get dizzy or light headed I am to get my BP checked and then call them, no matter where I am.
I still did not learn today why I was back in atrial fibrillation because the thyroid blood work I did at labs on 3/26 has seemed to have gotten lost
somewhere. I called the main lab in Tempe and had them re-fax to my endocrinologist, and got an ok for my heart dr. to call them tomorrow and get the verbal results. I need to know what needs to be changed and what to do. I hope and pray this gets solved tomorrow.
It is heck getting old.(and still feeling young, but having all these crazy health issues)

Lenor and Jason's wedding day party

Lenor is the manager of Monday-Friday at Joe's care home in the daytime, and my friend. She married Jason Friday, who teaches Spanish at an Avondale high school. This was the night of their wonderful wedding dinner at a Spanish restaurant in Scottsdale, by the Scstdl. Art Gallery/complex called Pepin's- we dined on paella, salads, rice pudding, wine and watched flamenco dancers. All of Lenor's family from Mexico were here, as well and Jana and Peter who own Joe's care home, and Maggie who works with Lenor and is also my friend. Lenor's friend whose husband also teaches at same high school, introduced her to Jason last fall. They are a perfect couple and Lenor was so beautiful and radiant!

I was very blessed to receive "thank you" flowers from Esther Monday! What a wonderful surprise! She is a thoughtful angel. Just for spending two nights at my home- she is always kind and generous. Thanks Esther! Glad you are my friend!

It has been an interesting week so far and more to come. Tonight is the last night of the current class I am taking and do not start another class until May 7th.
Deidre, Zachary, and Emma Ruth will arrive in Phoenix on Saturday and stay until Tuesday. They are coming to see Joe. He will be thrilled to see them. He has never seen the baby.
I also signed up at Bally's Fitness Center and start a water aerobics class there this week. I am looking forward to that and glad to be back in a water class again.
I am still losing weight and had 8 pairs of pants altered this past week-so that has been good news for me also.
And my chiropractors, Dr. Ehren and Dr. Stacy got married yesterday on the beach in Cancun! And...I am invited to a wedding party this Friday evening for Lenor and Jason- Lenor is manager of the daytime caregivers at Joe's home, and I am very happy for her! I feel honored to be invited to her wedding dinner in Scottsdale.
And...today I took Joe to get a haircut-he is blessed to get his haircuts from Kathy Sceszi, our previous neighbor and friend. Carmen and Richard came over to see us while we were at Kathy's and that was nice too. Carmen has started a new treatment that alters the growth of cancer cells and this has only been done on 30 people. This has been offered to her through the Virginia Piper Cancer Center in Scottsdale. I also spent an hour with Joe yesterday before I went to Taglio's for color and cut, and he ate a very good lunch and was in a happy mood.
Next week I am going out of town for a few days, so all is well, and life is good!

Super Saturday!

No photos taken on Saturday but had a fantastic day. (have to take a break from photos once in awhile!)
I had lunch in Glendale (I think I was in Glendale but might have been in Peoria) with my dear friend Chico at Pei Wei. We had a wonderful lunch of lettuce wraps and Asian salad, and a heart to heart 2-hour talk with each other. She always surprises me-she is so perceptive and so incredible- that hiking every day for several miles keeps her 80 year old body and mind sharp as a tack. She also got clay from me, even though nothing is wrong with her, which is the best reason of all- to prevent! Best life insurance there is. And she is smart enough to know that and want to share it with others she knows.
I was so close to my friend Jan's home in Peoria, that I called her and went to her home after I left Chico. I was going to stay an hour, and ended up staying three hours. Five hours of talking to two friends, pretty much did me in for the day.

I was so sleepy driving back to Phoenix! But I needed to go see Joe, so went straight to his care home from Peoria, and stayed an hour with him. He was eating dinner when I got there and he ate very well- ate all his dinner and of course, ate his ice cream with chocolate syrup on it for dessert. He was in a good mood as always and smiling and happy.
I told him Deidre and baby Emma Ruth and Zachary would be here next weekend to see him. (from Illinois) He said they had already been there. And when I told him he had not seen the baby, so she couldn't have been here already, he said he had also seen the baby too! He said "he can't walk yet". Well, "he" is Emma, a 7 month old baby girl (our grandaughter). And he has never seen her at all. I know one thing and that is he will be glad to see them all next weekend, no matter whether he thinks he has seen them already or not.
I am sure they will see how much he has changed also. He does love visitors, and I wish more of his friends would come to see him.

I was in bed at 8:00 last night and asleep by 9:00 or sooner. I know I had at least nine hours sleep. which I needed! Feel great today and went walking in my neighborhood this morning for 50 minutes- walked over to the Pointe resort to the Hole in Wall restaurant and all around the pool and grounds there. Then got turned around and took a wrong street and walked further than I intended today! Oh well, I needed it! Now I am off to church- adios for today.

April Cancer Support Group lunch

Thursday at 2:00 I met with some of my group that used to meet together at Wellness Community, for our monthly lunch together. This is always a happy time and we are always glad to see each other and share our updates and life. This month we met at Postino's, one of my favorite places, and had a wonderful lunch and conversation with each other. Each month it is different people, and some who never miss a lunch also, and this month Belinda, Pat, Maryann, Linda, and Betty and myself attended the lunch. It is always a highlight of every month for us- at least I think we all feel that way and everyone is so happy and joyful to see each other and share with each other. I am blessed with loving friends in my life and I am so thankful.

Thursday Fun with friends

It stormed and rained and the wind blew in Phoenix on Thursday evening, but Esther, Elaine and I still managed to go to Chandler to Eve's home for hours and hours of conversation, laughs, sharing, excellent food and snacks, and to meet Eve's friend, Mary who lives in Sun City. What an evening! We were two hours late getting there because of the weather, but did get there by 7:00 pm and stayed until 10:30 or later. I am not sure what time we did get back to my home, but Elaine drank her first glass of clay and took samples home, and Esther and I stayed up talking and putting the pictures we took on the computer, plus Esther had lots of laundry to do-so we did not go to bed until 2:00 am! We all agreed you could not have more fun with five women together than we had last night-it was a fantastic and fun evening.
We all loved Mary and are thrilled to add her to our circle of friends- she enchanted us with her stories and her life, as we all shared our lives with each other. Eve's home is beyond words to describe, and very elegantly decorated- her unique personality shows all through her home and gorgeous back yard. It was an evening to remember and cherish. Thank God for friends! And GOOD friends!
Esther and her daughters are taking a short trip today and tomorrow and she goes back to Washington DC on Sunday. So this fun, busy, and great ten days of her being in Phoenix is about over, but we had a wonderful time! We shared four fantastic evenings and dinners with friends, plus hours of talking and laughing.

Birthday dinner for another Nancy

Tonight I met Esther and her friend, Nancy (who is now my friend as well)- this is not my sister Nancy, but our friend Nancy who lives in Sun City. It will be Nancy's birthday on April 14th and we celebrated tonight at Auntchiladas.
We had lots of fun and good conversation and a wonderful evening. This wonderful Nancy is the one who helped Esther find her birth mother and went with her to see her mother in Idaho last November. This is only the second time I have seen her and talked to her, but we have exchanged phone numbers and addresses and plan to stay in touch as well. She is a wonderful friend to Esther and a dear person.

The Easter Miracle

My dear friend, Jan, who is also my hair stylist, called me today with the story of her miracle for Easter. When I saw her last Thursday for a haircut, she told me they had just gotten the news that morning that her husband, Dan's grandmother had died. They were upset because Dan did not have time to have gone to see her before she passed on and he loved her so, and wanted to tell her goodbye. Jan expressed to me she wished Dan could receive some message from his grandmother so he would know she was ok and all was well. We had a long talk about this.

When Jan called me today she told me she had talked to his grandmother and said "grandma, take your wings and fly". She had repeated this several times on Thursday and Friday, and had expressed her wishes that the grandmother would find a way to contact Dan, to ease his loss and pain. She did this again on Saturday morning on her way to work. She then specifically said to grandma,"speak up to Dan and tell him it is ok, just get in his face if you have to."

Saturday evening after Dan got home from work, he told Jan an amazing thing had happened to him that morning.(he did not know that Jan had been asking/praying)
He said he had sat in his car in the parking lot when he got to work for awhile and had the window open, when a small house sparrow landed on his side rear view mirror, just inches from him. The little bird began to chirp very loudly! And continued to get louder and louder.
Dan said, "it was the neatest thing- and I am not lying- you have just got to believe me!" He thought to himself, "what is going on???" Even when he moved his hand to the window, the bird did not fly away.

As he told Jan this story Saturday evening, tears rolled down Jan's face, because she knew the little bird had flown to Dan (she had her wings at last), and Jan said "thank you, grandma". Dan then realized what had happened and he began crying too. He said, " I wanted to believe- and now I do."
Jan said it was their Easter miracle and she said she had been wearing the Unexpected Miracles bracelet I gave her on Thursday, and she wanted me to know that it was her first unexpected miracle since I gave her the bracelet.

Dan flew to where his grandmother's sevices will be this morning with a lighter heart. (and his clay in his suitcase! That's another story!)

Easter 2007

I was very tired today, guess the week caught up with me. I slept, and read the newspaper in bed, and drank coffee- and just relaxed this morning.
In the afternoon, Esther met me at Joe's care home and we spent about and hour and a half with him. Esther brought her Arbonne serum and creams and did treatments on Joe's feet and hands, and also did the same thing on Ms. Pat's, and they both loved it. Esther is just amazing with everyone there and they love her. Joe so enjoys her visits.
Then Esther and I went to Tempe to Heidi's for Easter dinner. It was great- Jimmy did the best ribs on the grill I have ever eaten and Heidi made potato salad, fresh fruit bowl, and caramel and apple pie. It was good to see Trevor too! We had a very nice time.

Esther is in town!

Yes, the whole valley knows she is here and she is double booked for breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, and still can't see everyone who wants to see her! What an "in demand" person she is, and of course, everyone loves her. I told her she should come to Phoenix and not even tell anyone she is here!
She came over about 3:30 today so we did have time alone to talk until about 5:30, and that was great. At 5:45, Eve, Esther and I went to SOMA at Shea and Tatum and met Hilda Villaverde for dinner. What a fun "girls night out" we had!
We had over 2 hours to eat very healthy food (fresh salmon salads and the best sweet potato fries I have ever tasted)and talk our hearts out. Hilda is so entertaining and we enjoyed her so much. Her new book will be finished in another month or two and she told us all about it, and it is fascinating. We covered many topics and heard wonderful stories from each other and it was all fun and delightful.

Today was also my first day attending water aerobics class at the Scottsdale Aquatic Center. I really enjoyed the 50 minute class, and the large pool is outdoors. I am not sure being in that much sun is going to work for me, but I did love the pool and enjoyed the class. I did exercise two days this week, as Monday I walked my nieghborhood, so feel good about starting back on exercise again...finally.

Another It's All Good day

Life is exciting and everything has been working so wonderfully lately-yea!
(YES, THE SECRET does work!) If you have not seen the movie, go rent or buy it. It is how I have believed almost 40 years and now everyone is seeing this movie-how incredible!

First today I went to see Joe about 11:00, and he had a couple times he was lucid and said very clear good statements. The first one amazed me, as he said to me "you look like you are losing weight." I said yes, I was, and had lost 22 lbs., and he asked me if I was sick! I told him no, I was doing it on purpose. He thought that was good and then said he had lost weight too!

Then 15 minutes after getting there, Heidi arrived with peanut butter cookies for Joe and we had a short but nice visit. We neither one knew the other would be there and it worked out great. I had to leave for a chiropractic appointment, but it was a nice visit. The fun thing at Joe's home now is that a dog lives there! A new resident (a woman) has the sweetest most loving dog and he lives there with her. Everyone is loving and enjoying the dog.

This afternoon I delivered two sets of healing clay samples to two women in Scottsdale, and that was fun and great too. One of them I spent an hour with at Coffee Plantation. I had never met either of them before and they had responded to me via email because of Ann's newsletter.

Then I went to Heart Care for my pro time, and my blood count was perfect- 2.5, same as it was 2 weeks ago, and I do not have to go back for blood count for 3 weeks! Yea! They said I am doing great on the coumadin and with my food plan,etc.

Esther is here for a little over a week from Washington DC and we have 3 dinners planned together, and she is staying here one night at my place, and we also have some other time we are getting together to talk. I really miss her and am glad I can at least see her a bit while she is here. The movers spend two days with her and all her stuff is being moved to Virginia-so she will officially not live here anymore. (boo-hoo)

Everything, yes everything, is working perfectly in my life, and all is good and life is wonderful. It feels good to be so happy.

Great weekend

In the blog posted below this one, you will see how I spent most of my weekend.
It was very exciting and fun!
I did take a 3-hour break on Saturday afternoon and went to see Joe. I ate dinner with him at his care home and spent a couple of hours with him. He has lost 15 pounds but he ate very well when I was there. I also had lunch with him there on Wednesday and he ate well on that day too. I think his appetite is better.
After running a couple errands, I came back home and began answering email again. It was at times frustrating, but in most part a very rewarding and exciting weekend receiving the 90 plus emails interested in clay therapy.
Today (Sunday) I went to my church this morning and two friends met me there and attended church with me- Nikki and Rob from Tempe. I met Nikki at a women's retreat last June. After church we went to lunch at Auntchiladas and talked for hours, and then came to my home and spent another hour or more talking about clay therapy. They are both very interested in it and took home clay samples and Cano's book to read. They left around 4:00 and at 6:00 I went to dinner with a neighbor friend, Mary Beth. She and I went to Pei Wei and sat there and ate and talked for three hours! We had a great time!
It was really a good weekend and beautiful spring weather!

Dear friends,

I love the way the angels put things. They have really worked with me the past several years to trust that when it is time to do something in alignment with my intentions, everything in me will want to do it.

One of my creations as of late has been 'perfect health and well being.' Like many of us, I've put on a few too many pounds to fit in my spring clothing, I had some crazy allergies coming in, and felt a little out of shape. So I intended perfect health and well being, and I intended that I be guided to and passionate about whatever I needed to achieve that.

The first step occurred when I discovered the new healing work I'm studing (Matrix Energetics). I've used that to get my spine in alignment and to really enjoy nuking old patterns in my psyche that are counter productive.

Two weeks ago, I was ready for my allergies to be gone completely and my weight to go. All of the sudden, I had the DESIRE to go to the gym, as if nothing else mattered! Mind you I haven't wanted to even drive in the parking lot of the gym for the last three years. I felt joyous on the treadmill and even ran into a friend I hadn't seen in ages and talked through most of my workout! God is good.

Part B occurred when a client showed up and reminded me of the healing benefits of clay. I've used this type of clay years ago to take down swelling on my mom's knee, to cure acne , and to eliminate pain but I forgot all about it! Ruth informed me that it even works, in small doses in water to detox the body. It all sounded good but I put it out of my mind till a week later. I was complaining about all the toxins in the air and environment, praying for a way NOT to take it into my system. I did my matrix work and then realized I was HOLDING the book on the clay and its journey to us in my hands!! DUH. I ordered a bucket and started drinking it diluted in water every day.

The allergies left the first day. My digestion started operating properly the second. The angels told me (and it was confirmed) that it was full of much needed calcium the third!! I even used it on a friend's face today to cure her rash within an hour. So once ... GO GOD!

Just intend what you want and trust that when you need something it will be there and you will have the urge to do what is healthy and good for all involved in order to make your intentions come true.

The one thing I know for sure, there is a strong interest in healing clay therapy!!!
