El Chorro Lodge, Scottsdale. Cancer support group December lunch with Belinda, Maryann, Pat, Betty. Jean and Linda. El Chorro opened in 1934. The bar was at one time a schoolroom built by John C. Lincoln so his daughter would have a school to attend. In 1937 it was purchased by people who opened a restaurant and lodge here. It is now 72 years old. A very charming place and excellent food. I had rainbow trout almondine, aspargus soup, and steamed asparagus-it was wonderful!
